Not another trip - we haven't done it yet. Hoping to do it in July/August this year.

Another trip... mmm, now there's an idea. If you've got some ideas please post them up.

How about a tour of the world's capital cities in the UK (Boston, Moscow, Sydney etc....?)!

That'd be great, we could do with you driving just in front. We'd go much, much faster! Tea or coffee would be great!

As far as fund raising goes, at the moment we've got £70 in justgiving, £60 in the bank, and, the good news is a local company, Fresh Direct, has donated £250 today. A big, big thank you to them! Must pay the cheque in tomorrow! If other companys could do a similar thing that would be wonderful!

That's great to hear, well done for raising so much already. Try to get your local papers to raise the awareness and maybe display it at the hospital cleft clinics as well.
Well done !! xx Mary

We've had a stroke of luck. Brian has managed to get us a place to stay in Lewdown, 88 miles out of Lands End. This means the route is now 1 day shorter (yay), on the other hand it also means the first few days are longer and tougher (groan). However, on the bright side, we're doing the ride over a longer period of time and in warmer weather than the sportrelief2010 relay ride!

I've updated the website (http://tinyurl.com/lejog2010) to reflect the new routes, included google mapping for each stage, and have joined twitter (now got so work out how twitter works..!). Please take a quick look at the new site, and if you're into twitter, I would be grateful if you would 'retweet' my message for me please. (I think that's the phrase!)

Thanks Mary.
I'm on FB and have done posters for hospitals. Now thinking of doing wristbands for the event, local tv and radio. I'm trying to think of various ways of getting the message out to people and create an interest. :-)

This is getting closer - eeeek!!!!

As you know Face Forward is a completely free service provided by Nathan in his own valuable spare time. Thankfully all other costs are low enough that we don't need to ask for donations.

CLAPA however is a completely different kettle of fish – they have costs for staffing, accommodation, equipment publicity etc etc – in short it costs a lot of money. Money which comes from public donation and fundraising.

If you appreciate CLAPA and Face Forward please consider making a donation to one of the fundraising webpages.

My justgiving page is here. Thanks to Isabella for letting me use her pic!

It makes no difference what page you donate to, just as long as you donate if you can.

Follow us on twitter for news for training and trip news - and please pass on the pages to your friends, workmates and relatives.

Just wondering if you ever thought about starting the CLAPA branch in your area as there must be quite a lot of families under Oxford Hospital, (is there a branch already) I'm sure both of you would be a great asset and will do great. Sometimes is easy to get grants and local support for charities who are operating in a specific area or a specific project or events that would be run under for families under Oxforshire.

I had a bit of experience as I'm constantly fundraising for Cambridge Branch that supports families throghout East Anglia and we are very lucky with the support by the cleft team as they tell us what is needed or if we can finance a projects/events to enhance the cleft care of patients under Addenbrookes. How is your communication with the Oxford Cleft Team and is there anything specific that you could be raising money for, as that sometiems can be helpfu when applying for grants with local or national trustl. Can you pm you address I'll issue the cheque as last time I had a problem with the site. xx Mary
